02Shaped for you

How this is shaped for your students

A second-year B.Com group and a final-semester M.Com group need very different versions of this course, and a college with a strong Tally background in its syllabus needs a different version again. We look at what has already been covered academically, how confident the group is with the accounting cycle, the size of the cohort, whether students are targeting practice firms or corporate accounts teams, the local employer base, and how many hours are available before the placement season. The level, the depth on GST and payroll, and the choice of business used in the exercises are all set from that.

07How you learn

Three levels, one continuous path

01

Foundation

You start from working vocabulary and first-hand contact with the tools. If you have never opened them before, you can start here. The work is guided, and you are assessed on knowing the material and applying it simply.

02

Applied

You turn knowledge into a way of working. You are given a brief with real constraints and incomplete information, you make decisions, and you explain why you made them. This is the level at which most students become useful on an internship.

03

Advanced

You handle the messy version: conflicting requirements, scale, cost, things going wrong, other people’s opinions, and knowing when not to do the obvious thing. The work is portfolio quality and you have to defend it.
